Most people don't know how to change it. Of those that do, many (like myself) just don't bother because 99.999999% of the time i'm going somewhere else anyways (and not the same place, so making it my home page would be pointless), so the homepage doesn't matter. In fact, if you're like me and leave IE up all the time, you almost never see the home page... because you only see it when starting a new browser for the first time. Another percentage actually like the default home page. And finally, there are just a lot of people that just don't care.

Less than .000001% change their homepage! That is a small number of user that change their homepage.

You asked SaggMaggyPoo if she knew how few people actually change their homepage. I asked what the number was because I believe it a large percentage. If you are referring to people who only use the default browser because the don't know they can use different browsers than the number is going to be small. I'll ask again What is the numbers?

    Hi SMP, (I'm just lazy),
The old IE options feature is still there,
    I got there using
Notifications>settings>network and internet>internet options, note you have to scroll down.

    AND IT WORKS ON SPARTAN,
    tested on remove passwords.

If that's true, why do you think all the browsers bother to provide a way to change it? In any event, "different strokes for different folks". *Thumbs

That doesn't justify you twisting what someone says. I did NOT say .000001% of users change their home page, but yet you decided to put words in my mouth.

    Please refrain from doing that.

I've had my home page the same for several years and it seems Edge has figured that one out for me. *Smile

Something I noticed with upgrading vs cleaninstall with 74- upgrading copies all IE's settings including homepage and favorites(bar) to Spartan, a clean install you have to do everything manually. it would be nice if Spartan offered to copy your set up, from a one of your browsers you choose, to it, the first time it's opened, like Chrome.

I may be missing something in my interpretation here, but I have a clean install of Windows 10 Build 10074. Spartan/Edge is, of course, included. Last night I decided to give it a try to see if there were any improvements.

I clicked on the three dots at the top right, then Settings. The first item in the list was "Show Favorites Bar", which was turned to off. I switched it on and there, to my amazement, were all my favorites from IE and (I think) Firefox!

This was the first time I had opened Edge since my clean install. I have never before clicked on those dots, nor noticed them before (which means nothing). I have never tried to list favorites because I only regularly open two or three sites and typing the first two or three letters usually works. If not the first time, at least the second.

I don't know if Edge will automagically set anything else up because I hardly ever use IE any more; it just has too many problems in Windows 10.

I tried that before and nothing showed up. After reading your post I just checked again, and as Gomer Pyle said "Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!" They were there too. I guess when I ran wsreset a couple of days ago it repaired Spartan alias EDGE too*Smile.

Thanks for reminding/causing me to check again Wynona*Biggrin.

So we now know Spartan can be fixed and it's a store app. If you've you seen in another thread it fixed the new Weather & the new People Mail Calendar apps.
