  2. RDP Not working with port 3389

So I have a tp-link router and I port forwarded port 3389 to my ip address. I port forwarded the ipv4 found in network and sharing center. I checked to see if the port was open at canyouseeme.org but it said the port was closed and I was not able to change
the ip it was looking for to the one in network and sharing center. I opened port 3389 in Kaspersky and enabled RDP in Windows Firewall.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

  3. I need change RDP Port

    Hello MaltD2020,

    Please follow the nest steps.

    1. Start Registry Editor. (Regedit)

    2. Find the following registry key sub and click on it:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ TerminalServer \ WinStations \ RDP-Tcp \ PortNumber

    3. On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then Decimal.

    4. Enter the new port number, and then click OK.

    5. Exit Registry Editor.

    6. Restart the computer.

    Regards.

  4. How to change RDP Port

Default Printer changing to Printer that's first in the "Port Name" List

    Hi All,

I have an issue where the default printer keeps changing to the Printer that's Port Name is first in the "Port Name" List in ascending order, whenever I RDP into it.

    Some Note:

    • The default printer changes on the remote PC (The PC I RDP into).
    • All OS's involved are Windows 10 Pro x64.
    • I unchecked the "Printers" checkbox on the saved .RDP file.
    • I have turned the "Let Windows manage my default printer" option on and then printed from the correct default printer but then when I RDP into it from home it changes to the Printer that's Port Name is first in the "Port Name" List in ascending order.
I cant rename the Port Name without re-adding the printers which I really don't want to have to do.

Thanks in advance for any help.
