How to change settings for a single generic HID device without affecting all input devices?

For ergonomic reasons I back pain I have a setup that uses a usb mouse on my right and a usb touch pad on my left, as well as the default trackpad on my laptop sometimes.I want to be able to control the settings for a single device specifically the touchpad in this case.Mostly I'm interested in switching the movement direction. Because of the way I have it oriented, up is down and left is right. Do you use a KVM switch?
It's quite normal to have multiple HIDs under Windows...

A human interface device or HID is a type of computer device that interacts directly with, and most often takes input from, humans and may deliver output to humans.

USB Ports will also add to that list, even if currently unused.

Plugging in and removing devices such as your iPod, iPhone, Camera, and external HDD, etc. Or moving your keyboard/mouse from one port to another, etc. Perhaps you plug the device into USB port 1, then next time USB port 2, etc. You find they get created and merely stick around afterwards. However, they don't affect the system and should be left there. Most are there for future functions to work and be accessed faster for the same driver.

    Hi,

It doesn't need to have two USB Input HID Driver, only one would work fine.

To check for possible cause of the issue, we suggest that you run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key.
    • Type Troubleshooting.
    • Click Hardware and Sound.
    • Click Hardware and Devices.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
If the issue still persists, uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Let us know how it goes.
