Windows 10: How to change the background color of drop down menus everywhere in the system?

So, about a year ago, i tried installing a skin on Win 10. I installed a bunch of files and software like rainmeter, tclock and etc.

After i did that it messed up my colors on drop down menus. I somehow thought, if i uninstall everything, all will go back to normal. But that didn't work. I will attach screenshots. From what i have observed its everywhere in the system, from control panel options to right click drop down menu inside a browser.

PLEASE let me know if you know any solution. I really dont want to back up data and reset Windows fully.

change desktop background color

Hi,

To change the desktop background into a solid color, see the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop, and select Personalize.
• Under Personalization, select Background.
• On the right pane, click on the drop-down menu for Background, and then select
  Solid color.
• Choose your preferred color and it should immediately make changes.

Start Menu background color customize

Hi,

You can change the background color of the the Start menu on Settings. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Choose Personalization.
• Select Colors.
• Under Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center, switch the slider to
  On.
• After switching the slider to On, you can now pick what color you want or you can click the
  Automatically pick an accent color from my background checkbox to make Windows pick the color that complements the color of your desktop background.

These procedures not helped to change the background color of the start menu by (right click)





I want to change the black color to grey color as previous.

Please help.

Also previously right click will show the control panel, system, device manager etc. now it is not showing.
