    I've recently gotten a new SSD, and want to install things in that SSD instead of my old one. However, nothing I've tried has worked. I've tried changing the desktop location, I've tried changing the default download location through Advanced Storage Settings, but nothing has worked. Can someone help?

    In windows 11 I am trying change the default save location from the c drive. When i go to the settings the only drive listed is the c drive. Im trying to designate a different default save location. If i need to set up another drive please indicate it.

    Hello Lucas,

    You may change the default location for the desktop and library folders on Windows 10.

    To change the default location of the folders, please follow these steps:

    • Click Start, type This PC and press
      Enter
      .
    • Right-click the Desktop folder and select Properties.
    • Go to Location tab and click Move.
    • Find the new location for the Desktop folder and click
      Select
      Folder.
    • Click OK to finish.

    The steps must be done on each of the library folders.
