    How to change the mode of smart app control from off to evaluation?


    I have installed the latest version of Windows, and my smart app control is off, I turn on the send optional data but nothing changes! Please help!

    Smart App Control, Does It Work On Windows 11 Beta?

    Hello Red,

    Smart App Control is available starting with Windows 11 build 22567.

    Smart App Control starts in evaluation mode. This is a period during which Windows tries to determine if you're a good candidate for Smart App Control. If you are a good candidate for Smart App Control, then it will automatically be turned on. If not, it'll be turned off.

    If Smart App Control is turned off, then you will need to either reset or clean install Windows 11 to get it back to evaluation mode, then manually turn it on.

    The Smart App & Evaluation Feature

    Hi Kelly! Nice to meet you.

    I was able to turn on the Smart App however the evaluation app I am not able to turn on as is grayed out and will not allow the feature to be turned on.

    I have noticed that I have the option to turn both the Smart mode and Evaluation on so I am wondering if it is ok to turn these two features on and if so what role do these two features provide as to security?
