Windows 10: How to change the password that shows on my lock screen

I had a microsoft account before which was used to set up the password on my lock screen, and now I want to change the password, so I was asked to verify my identity through an email that I used formerly too, but I don't have that. I deleted the account hoping that the lock screen password would have been deleted too, but that didn't happen. I created a new account, it still didn't work, it keeps showing the old name and password on lock screen. Pls help. What can I do? It's really frustrating!

Let us resolve you concern regarding on how you can change your lock screen password. We suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key; then, select Settings.
• Click Accounts; then, Sign-In Options.
• Tap the Change button in the Password section.
• Re-enter your password; then, create a new password.

Step 2b is labeled as Change the Login Screen Image, but the steps show you how to change the Lock Screen image. Step 2a is irrelevant. It only tells you how to change the desktop background.

What I want to do:
Set Spotlight as the LOCK Screen Image(s) - Done
Set the Win 10 Hero Image as the SIGN IN Screen Image - This is the one that shows after you click on the lock screen and you are able to type your password. If I uncheck "Show Lock Screen Image on Sign In Screen", it shows a solid blue background behind my Password box and user image. This is what I want to change to the Hero Image....

To have a better view on this concern, are you referring with Lock Screen timeout? If so, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click on Start menu.
• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Under Sign-in options, click on Lock screen.
• Go to Screen timeout settings.
• Change the value under Screen.

Also, no need to create a pin code since you already have your Microsoft account password. You can sign in using your account.
