Windows 10: how to change the screenshot number?

I have a ton of screenshots using Windows + Prt Scr, and they go back for quite a while. I've lately categorized them into different folders, however when I now take screenshots, and I try to add the respective screenshot to its proper folder, I sometimes get a warning that there is already a screenshot of that number and when I check, it's a different screenshot.

So how can I change the screenshot names that I take now? Instead of screenshot # 1, eg, is there a way to change it to letters instead? So that the screenies taken from now on are lettered instead of numbered?

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

• Open File Explorer and click on This PC in the left navigation pane.
• Navigate to the location: C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\Screenshots.
• Right click on the Screenshots folder and select Properties.
• Click on the Location tab in the Properties Window.
• Change the location to the desired location and click on Move.
