Windows 10: How to change the startup sound?

I tried to change the startup sound using Brink's (Startup Sound - Change in Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help Forums) second method, as well as lots of other methods, assuming there wouldn't be much difference between Windows 7 and Windows 10. And I was wrong, as it didn't work, now the startup sound is replaced with a bunch of hexcode. Has anyone figured out a successful method of changing the startup sound (NOT the logon sound)? Thanks.

Sorry but there is no built-in option to change this on Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10. You can turn it on or off, but not change it.

I want to change the STARTUP SOUND, the one that plays right after booting up.

I don't want to hear any suggestions about changing the Logon sound instead, because no matter what I do it won't play at all.

I've already had to change file ownerships.

Ive already tried replacing the "Windows Startup" sound file with the one of my choice. That didn't work either.

I'm blown away by how much of customization and personalization of our OS Microsoft has robbed from the end user.

I am not happy.
