Windows 10: How to change the width of the "Start Menu" scrollbar?

In Windows 10 desktop.



At the moment it is too thin to instantly hit with the mouse. I this a user-settable personalization?

Windows 10 How does one change the WIDTH OF THE SCROLLBAR?

TO WINDOWS 10 & MICROSOFT:

WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO ADJUST THE WIDTH OF THE SCROLLBAR???

Everyone uses the scrollbar - FOR SOME REASON UNKNOWN TO ME the width has become so small it inhibits my ability (and I see many others) to easily get right on the THIN LINE provided now by Windows in 10. It's become quite difficult to use as I have to stop
and get my cursor on this tiny line.

Also just to SEARCH FOR SETTING TO CHANGE THE WIDTH has become a TIME-CONSUMING PROJECT when I should easily go to Personalization ??? or wherever since I have done SCROLLBAR search in my computer and settings - NOTHING. It's now become a time-consuming adventure
on the WWW or Microsoft/Windows to find a simple instruction on increasing the width.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW WE MAKE THE SCROLLBAR WIDER???

 

How to hide scrollbar section in Start Menu?

My Windows had an update yesterday, and now the start menu has changed. There is a new scrollbar section that makes the menu even larger than necessary. Is there a way to get ride of this, or to have it minimise as it used to be?

I just find it rather pointless to have a section to pin softwares to, if right next to it, it's already in an alphabetically organised list. In the top corner, there is a three-lined button that widens the left column - why doesn't this bring out the list
of files, instead of the files already sitting there?

I cannot find find a setting to hied the list of files. I have taken away the recently added/used sections (I've actually turned all those options off) but it doesn't get rid of the scrollbar list.

 

Width of Start Menu

The height and width "grab handles" have different behaviours. The height will begin to decrease instantly when grabbed and is fairly variable. The width seems to have only preset sizes. So if you grab on the right edge and draw to the left the start
menu will jump to three or four preset widths. Have to move the grabber quite a bit for the changes to happen. My start menu is as you descdribed now--have removed all the tiles and reduced it to the narrowest width which is about the same width as the one
in W7.
