How To Change User Account When Startup

    Hi. I have a question.

My computer have 2 user account, 1 is administrator and another is standard account. Lets say i have user A and user B

So, when im booting into windows, Windows automatically boot into the last opened user account. Example: when i working in user A, next time i booting it will go to user A.

When i want to boot into user B, i must logout from user A and boot into user B. It is not efficient.

How to make menu when booting to Windows, so i can choose whether login to user B or user A.

    :)

How do you change a user account to an administrator account in Windows 10?

    Hi Fiona,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to go to control panel and check your user account status. Right click on the start button and select control panel in the menu. In the control panel, click on the 'view by' option in the top right and select 'large icons'. Now, click
on 'User accounts' and check if your account is listed as Administrator. If it is not displayed as Admin account, click on the option 'Change user account type' and select 'Administrator' and apply changes. Try these steps and let us know the results. If you
have already tried, please let us know what all troubleshooting steps you have tried so far, so that we can provided you suggestion accordingly.

  3. How do I change the user account name when it is linked to a Microsoft account?

    Hi Park,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community and for your interest in Windows 10.

I can understand, how frustrating it can be, when things don’t work as expected.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I'd be glad to help you.

I would suggest you to login to an administrator account using your Microsoft account and follow these steps below:

    1) Type User accounts on search bar on desktop, then click on
User accounts tile in the list.

    2) Click on Change your account name in the User accounts
    Window.

    3) Type a new account name in the Change Your Name
Window, then click on Change Name button and check, if it works.

Hope this information helps you. Kindly post back with the updated issue for further assistance.

    Thank you.
