Windows 10: how to change which default graphics card that apps use

I'm trying to make the nvidia sound card that I paid extra for when I purchased my laptop from dell. I'm just figuring out now since I've been thinking about streaming some movies and games and I've changed the settings in the nvidia control panel but in the windows settings it still shows the intel grahics card. I've changed and deleted so many extra apps that I thought would improve my viewing experience to see if that made a difference and it didn't because they are all just extensions. I see in the nvidia control panel where it says that windows controls which default graphics card is used

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

• Turn your computer off.
• Pull out your video/graphics card.
• Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
• Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.

Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

We suggest contacting the manufacturer of your laptop regarding your concern. They might advise you to try updating your graphics card driver and if that won't work, something might be really wrong with your graphics card.

The error might occur if the Graphic card is cannot update the driver automatically.

I suggest you to update the graphic card manually by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
• Expand Display Driver from the list.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and select
  update driver software.

Also, can download the latest version of the graphic card from the manufacturer website.
