Windows 10: How to change which monitor gets assigned as monitor "1"?

When you plug multiple monitors into a PC, Windows will assing each monitor its own number.This number does not change, even when you change which monitor is the main display. Assign monitor Numbers

If you're pertaining to making Acer screen as the monitor 1 and the other is 2, you can just have them interchanged by going following the steps below:

• Right-click on your desktop screen > Display settings.
• Under "Select and rearrange displays", just drag the monitor basing on your choice of number; then, click on "Apply" button after.

Change monitor 2 to monitor 1 and make it stay.

I did as you suggested, but the problem was not resolved. Windows detects the monitors just fine, but I need to switch monitor 2 to be numbered monitor 1. The main diplay has not effect, as once monitor 1 is turned on monitor two looses display.

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.
