Windows 10: How to change wifi network amid Windows 10 initial set up?

Setting up a new laptop with Windows 10, selected a wifi network that has now gone down and will be down for a while. Currently at the "sign in to Microsoft" stage and there's no option to switch network or go back a step.


How do I go about switching to a working network?

WIFI Network issues

Good morning from sunny South Africa!

All of the suggestions were actually tried even before I placed my initial post.

The topic referred to in the suggested link addresses:

- Network troubleshooter - It finds no faults, because there is no fault to find.

- Basics - Checked, double checked, checked to make sure I didn't miss something, then checked again.

- Reset has been made to infinity.

- I have no hassle with the modem which connects to the internet, nor the ISP.

- The network adapter is fine.

- Ran all those commands already.

The WIFI network is a very basic IP network.

There is no internet connectivity on the WIFI network.

PC1 is set to 192.168.0.10

PC2 is set to 192.168.0.11

The router is a D-Link unit set to 192.168.0.50

This network was working fine for around three years.

The problem seems to be that Windows 10 (I updated the system to see if it would help, but it doesn't) places a network with no gateway nor a DNS in it to Public.

How do I change the WIFI network to Private so that the two PC's, as described, would share files?

I have tried setting up a Home Group, but that does not work, because the WIFI network is listed as "Public" and not "Private".

How do I change the very basic WIFI network explained above to "Private"?

 

Cannot connect to WiFi unless I Disable/Enable network in Change Adapter Settings

Had the same problem. Troubleshooter (step 1) suggested to reset network settings to the initial and delete all virtual switches I had. It helped to resolve the issue.

 

No WiFi in Win10 Pro (1903) Windows Sandbox

I (seemingly) successfully updated my Surface Pro 6 to v.1903 today, and after some initial fumbles enabling it, now have Windows Sandbox enabled and it seems to open just fine. However, there is no WiFi access within Sandbox.

Accessing Settings for Network & Internet, the list on the left is:
Status
Ethernet
Dial-up
VPN
Airplane mode
Date usage
Proxy
WiFi appears no place in that window. Network status shows No Internet Access.

What step am I missing to be able to access the internet from within the Sandbox using my computer's WiFi connection?
