Windows 10: How to check if my license key is genuine

I have purchased a license key for Windows 11 pro. Is there a way I can check the gentility of the key as I have not purchased it directly through Microsoft but through an offline vendor

My name is Freddys to check the windows license follow the steps below:

1. Open Command Prompt
   
2. Type slmgr /dlv
   
3. This will open Windows Script Host window
   

If it shows that the windows are activated till a certain date or it is not fully activated which means your Windows is either activated via organizations bulk purchased product key or it has been
activated using some kind of activation tool like KMSpico.

That isn't a genuine copy of Windows. Otherwise, it shows a license status: licensed without expiration time then is genuine.

How to check if Windows is activated using genuine license

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



Ideally, if you are activating a copy of Windows, depending on how you got your copy of Windows 10, you'll need either a 25-character product key or a digital license to activate it. A digital license (called a digital entitlement in Windows 10, Version
1511) is a method of activation in Windows 10 that doesn't require you to enter a product key. Without one of these, you won't be able to activate your device.



To check if your copy of Windows is Retail or Volume License, you can:

1. Open Command Prompt
   
2. Type slmgr /dlv
   
3. This will open Windows Script Host window.
   
4. The “Product Key Channel” line item will show you if it is Retail or VLK(Volume License)
   

Usually, if you are not using a genuine Microsoft product key, you may start receiving notifications on your PC that the Microsoft software you're running may not be genuine or activated.

How to get genuine license key from machine

Sorry, I'm still a bit confused here. If that pic you just posted is your current OS, Media Creation Tool will offer to download what you are currently set up as. What indicates to you that you are not using a genuine license?
