Windows 10: How to clear/cleanup & delete D drive partition

So I am near the max space on C Drive. I have C, D and E. With a lot of space on D and E. I wanted to move all my apps and games to E drive so I could delete D drive and extend C drive partition.I have C drive: 4.49GB free of 149 BG; D Drive: 313GB free of 312 GB; E Drive: 232 GB free of 390 GB.Now I looked into the D drive folder and there was nothing in there anymore, however it still has a 7 GB taken away from it. Making it impossible to delete that partition and turn it into an unallocated space so I could extend the C drive. When I checked the D drive I saw that the storage says 311 MB ar

Delete a duplicate Drive D partition

How do I delete a duplicate Drive D partition. In file explorer, two Drive D folders appear. One has a down arrow on the drive D icon. Ther other has a music note icon next to the Drive D. Opening either one displays the same content. DIsk
manager shows only on drive D.

 

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
