    How to clear up as much space as possible for a windows 11 downgrade to 10


    So I tried to upgrade my windows 11 to 10 using a sd card but It says it needs at least 8gb of my main storage free before making a iso file on the sd card. Problem is, all my apps combinded are less than 8 gb or in short, it seems like there are invisable apps that I cant delete so I need help with cleaning out that drive so I can have as much space as possible.

    I just reran the Media Creation Tool that I just downloaded a few minutes ago. It took less than three minutes to create the ISO file on my medium powered computer with NVMe SSD and 500 Mbps internet connection. Maybe try restarting your computer and downloading a fresh Media Creation Tool? Make sure to note where the ISO file is stored at the last step:

    Can I downgrade Windows 11 to Windows 10?

    I was reading a couple of threads on OEM websites - only Lenovo has provided a clear answer yet:

    If you buy a device with Windows 11 Pro, you can downgrade the same license to Windows 10 Pro.

    If you buy a device with Windows 11 Home, you cannot downgrade it.

    Can you ask there are devices with Windows 10? There are a lot of devices in the market that ship with Windows 10 in my country, however, it may vary by region.

    HP suggested to buy device that is eligible for upgrade, not that comes preloaded.
