  1. How to clone a hard drive without Antiviruses intervention ?

So I have a hard drive filled with tools that are supposed to hex edit , decompile , debug hardware via hardwiring , coms .
A lot of these are identified by the majority of antiviruses as threats which is a false positive but like they say better safe than sorry .

So the problem is there always come the time where in need to move these tools to a bigger drive as their size keep expanding , now while the obvious is ok you may disable the antivirus and clone the drive over to the new one , this was never successful for me on Windows 10 .

See last time I did that procedure I realized that despite having my antivirus disabled either it or Microsoft defender that is supposingly disabled as per the existence of another antivirus stealthily intervened and removed a lot of tools through out the copy process , not even to quarantine but rather vaporize them beyond recovery .

So bottom line are there an easy mean to handle that process without the divine intervention of these ?

P.S The data amount to transfer is huge so please opt off solutions that would make the copy slow

    :)

Cloning from 1TB to 2TB hard drive

Hello, Migrating a 1TB Hard Drive to a 2TB HDD is very possible.

My Rig started out on just 160GB, when I upgraded HDDs, I cloned my 160 GB into a newly bought 500GB HDD. (it was an OS HDD)

Then on the next HDD upgrade(I bought a 1 TB) I cloned that 500GB to a 1 TB HDD.

    No problems at all.

From what I can remember the program I used was Acronis?? I forgot. But it ran the cloning process outside of windows. the cloning took like 30 to 1 hr. then I switched drive letters and the newly bought HDD is now my boot device.
