Windows 10: How to compare 2014 SSD to current 3D?

I will be replacing my wife's Lenovo Tower M series, OEM, Drive 1…a Samsung (MZ7PC128HAFU-000) having the following specs:

Sequential Read Speed520 MB/s
Sequential Write Speed320 MB/s

Random Read Speed75K IOPS
Random Write Speed30K

With, at the moment, a Crucial compatible Crucial BX500 480GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD (CT480BX500SSD1)
SATA 6.0GB/S • 540 MB/S READ, 500 MB/S WRITE

Questions: 1. I understand the 3D architecture stacks thereby increases storage, speed and decreasing price. What I don't understand is, given the above, the Crucial Read is almost the same as the old Samsung and the Write is ~25% faster?
2. That makes zero sense. I was thinking there would be at least a 100% increase in through put across the board given the updated related technology over the past 5 years?

3. I've read that the equivalent Samsung is a bit quicker (hardly noticeable) and is more robust. Does the forum have SSD manufacturer comparative opinions?

Windows 10 How can I turn off 3D Hardware Acceleration?

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

In order to disable 3D hardware acceleration, I suggest you to follow the steps below.

• Right click on the desktop and select Graphics properties.
• Select Basic Mode and hit OK.
• Go to the 3D option.
• You can disable 3D graphics acceleration from this screen.

Can't launch Paint 3D Error (-2147219196)

3. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC prior to this issue?
   

I understand that you are unable to launch paint 3D on your PC, let us try few troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

I suggest you follow the methods mentioned below and check if that helps:

Method 1: Fix problems with apps from Microsoft store. Refer the follow article for troubleshooting steps to fix issues with

paint 3D.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall paint 3D using Windows PowerShell (Admin).

1. Right click on start and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Type Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MSPaint | Remove-AppxPackage and then hit
   Enter.
   
3. Reinstall Paint 3D from Microsoft store.
