  1. How to COMPLETELY clear cache on Windows 10.

    Hello everyone.

This is a complete guide on how to make a lot of space on your computer, before i start i wanna apologize because my english is not good, i'm gonna be splitting this guide in a lot of sections, let me begin.

    1. Temp files / Prefetch files

This is the most common one that most of you know. You can clear your temp files by searching on the bottom left for the app 'run'. Run it and type 'temp'. Here you can delete everything. Before anyone says is this safe, yes it is. I have done research and i have been doing this for as long as i can remember.

Now there are 2 temp files, the one called 'temp' which was the one we just cleared, and one is called '%temp%'. Type that also in the run box and delete everything.

Now the last temp file is called 'prefetch' type that also in the run box and delete everything.

    1. SoftWareDistribution/Downloads

the SoftwareDistribution/Downloads folder is a system folder used by Windows Update to store temporary files needed for installing updates. Meaning in here are old windows update stored, you can delete it.

DO NOT delete the actual softwaredistribution folder, but there is a folder called Download inside of it, again, DO NOT delete the download folder, just delete everything inside of it

    Location: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

    1. Windows 10 Disk Cleanup tool

Right click on the drive where windows 10 is installed and click on properties, then click on Disk Cleanup. Then click on 'Clean Up System Files' with the adminstration shield next to it, select everything and click 'Ok'.

This will clear all DirectX cache or any cache that you can't view in the file explorer.

    1. Downloads folder

Checking your downloads folder can help a LOT. Maybe you downloaded a game, extracted it from winrar, and forgot to delete the winrar. Or you have 1 million app setups like google or discord, delete them, you don't need them

    1. Documents

This may not have a lot of effect on your storage since it doesn't take up that much space, but in your documents folder is where game saves are stored, if you don't have the game anymore or you don' want to play it, delete the save folder for it.

    1. Clearing recycle bin

    Kinda self explanatory.

    1. Control Panel

By going to > Control Panel > Uninstall a program (bottom left). You can see ALL of your apps and or games installed on your pc. If you see an app you dont use anymore, delete it, same goes for the games

    1. WinDiRStar

For a lot of people this may seem like a virus, but i have been using it for 2 years, never had an issue.

WinDirStar gives you a EXTREMELY detailed overlay for what is taking the most space on your drive.

Some people don't use it because they think to themselves, why would i need it? Here is why: One time, i was clearing my pc from all of the junk, i started windirstat, only to find out that GTA 5 (which is 150 GB btw) is installed on my pc. Keep in mind i downloaded the game over 2 years ago, i didn't even play it anymore. Meaning my computer, never even registered that i had GTA 5 installed, because it wasn't on my dekstop and it wasn't in control panel.

If you set some tags for your *.jpg pictures, the windows 10 file explorer shows them in the "details pane" on the right side.
