Windows 10: How to completely disable the idle screen. Win 11

While streaming or idle the comp goes to the idle screen and or lock screen. I have set all to nvr, used gpedit.msp to disable lock screen, and it still does it. At random points also. I'll be designing something and it'll go to the idle screen in the middle of it, while I'm using the mouse. Very random timing.. i thought i had malware, its so random and annoying. Please help. I'm pretty sure it's a glitch.

How to disable Win+L in Windows 10?

As far as I know, there is no mean to disable only one Win+X keyboard shortcut.

What I can suggest is to disable completely Win+X hotkeys:

1. Type regedit in RUN or Start search box and press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor.
   
2. Now go to following key:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
   
3. In right-side pane, create a new DWORD NoWinKeys and set its value to 1
   

1. Close Registry Editor and restart your system. After reboot, all Win+X hotkeys will be turned off in your system.
   

To re-enable them, delete the DWORD NoWinKeys created in step 3.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

E71X idle screen

Thanks, I can see how to change orientation of the idle screen from Vertical to Horizontal but there doesn't seem to be a way to remove my tasks from the Idle Screen. Any suggestions?
