Windows 10: How to connect to a Windows share?

I've created a Windows shared folder. I normally conec to my PC using a PIN. I don't know if i even have a password.In order to connect to this share, the other machine is prompting me for a password. I don't recall setting one.Where can I set it, please?NB the "other" machine is Linux. I doubt that's relevant.I don't fully understand the architecture. Are these credentials for a workgroup, or are they specific to my Windows PC?

Is it possible to share internet connection via remote desktop?

RDP is not capable of Internet sharing, so you can't share Internet using RDP with standard applications. There are many way to share Internet from a Windows box to another one. I suggest you to use VPN. You should do following steps:

1. Run VPN Server on your server with unlimited internet access
   
2. Connect to VPN server from your limited computer

Step-1. Disable wi-fi adapter.

Step-2. Enable it again.

Step-3. Create wi-fi hot spot again.

Step-4. Now share network connection from where internet is connected to wi-fi hotspot adapter.

  Are you connected to Domain network?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + R, type fsmgmt.msc.
• Select Shares and right click on C$.
• Select Stop Sharing.
