Windows 10: How to connect to hololens via Wifi ?

Cannot turn on "Device Portal" in Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2, OS build 19045.2604. I can turn on developer mode and device discovery. Also I installed app in Hololens from my system via remote connection. But I cannot connect to my Hololens from my browser using its IP. Its prompting for username and password. Please help me to resolve issues, so that I can access Hololens from my desktop browser

Can't get Hololens to connect to laptop using WiFi or Bluetooth

I have used the following process to connect my Windows 20H2 laptop to a Holoens using Miracast.

It always take a lot of tries to connect the Hololens to any Windows 10 laptop using Bluetooth.

We need to be able to project what the Hololens is displaying to a Windows 10 laptop so that this can be shared via a WebEx meeting so that remote users can see this.

When the laptop and the Hololens finally do connect, I am able to project what the Holelns using Miracast is showing on my Windows 10 laptop by using the Windows 10 Connect application. This process is described in the HoloLens Screen Sharing section below.

Both the Hololens and the Windows 10 laptop are on the same Wi-Fi network. As far as my IT department knows, there is nothing on our network that is blocking the connection between the Hololens and the Windows 10 laptop.

However, once the user stops using the Hololens and even though the Hololens remains charged, the connection between the Hololens and the Windows 10 laptop is lost and the Hololens won't reconnect to the Windows 10 laptop using Miracast until it is completely removed on both the laptop and the Hololens and the Windows 10 connection is reestablished by reconnecting the Hololens and the Windows 10 laptop using Bluetooth.

What can be done so that the Hololens will easily connect to the Windows 10 laptop and so that once this connection or pairing is established the Hololens will be able to easily reconnect back to the Windows 10 laptop?

Are there any upgrades, updates, or fixes that can be applied that will fix this issue?

This is the process that we are using to connect the Hololens to the Windows 10 laptops:

• Set up Windows
  
  The first time you start your HoloLens 2, your first task is to set up Windows Holographic. When you start your HoloLens, you will hear music and see a Windows logo.

  1. Calibrate HoloLens to your eyes.
     
  To calibrate, you'll look at a set of targets (referred to as gems).
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  1. Connect to the internet (select Wi-Fi or your ethernet connection).
     
  1. Sign in to your HoloLens and select “My work or school owns it”
     
     1. Enter your Organization Email address (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***)

  Installing Connect App
  
  To present HoloLens via WebEx, you need the “Connect” app. Open PowerShell Admin and paste:
  
  DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:App.WirelessDisplay.Connect~~~~0.0.1.0 and press Enter. After some time the operation should complete and the app will show in the start menu. Close the PowerShell box when done.

  • On your Windows computer, right click Start and click Run.
    
  • Now type gpedit.msc and hit enter.
    
  • In the local group policy editor, navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System.
    
  • On the right pane look for policy named “Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair“.
    
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Right click policy setting and click Enabled. In addition to that, check the box “Download repair content and optional features directly from Windows Updates instead of Windows Server Updates Services (WSUS)“.

  Click Apply and OK. Now open the command prompt on your computer and run the command gpupdate so that the latest policy settings are applied to the local machine.

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?
