Windows 10: How to connect using Remote Desktop with asking credentials everytime but without a...

I have a PC which has a good feature: when I use remote desktop to it with RD, it does not show any dialogs for credentials. However, it will always ask credentials when I connect. It is shown as follows.However, I cannot reproduce this feature in any other PCs. I have try so many tutorials, such as group policy editer or registy editer, and they all failed.I want to know that how can I modify my setting to reproduce this feature?PS: Sorry for my poor English...

Remote Desktop Connection problems


Have you tried Remote Desktop Connection, to connect from your Windows 10 laptop to your Windows 7 desktop? Try it first, post back and tell how it went.

Some additional help because you mentioned you are a remote newbie *Wink. The windows 7 related tutorials from our sister site the Seven Forums:

1. On Windows 7 desktop, set network location to either Home or Work (I recommend Work):
   • Network Location - Set as Home, Work, or Public Network - Windows 7 Help Forums
2. On Windows 7 desktop, allow incoming remote connections:
   • Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) - Network - Windows 7 Help Forums
3. On Windows 7 desktop, find out its IP address:
   • IP Address - Locate and Find for Your Computer - Windows 7 Help Forums
4. On Windows 10 laptop, start the Remote Desktop application and connect to the Windows 7 desktop using the IP address from step 3 above (see Part Three in the tutorial):
   • RDC - Connect Remotely to your Windows 10 PC - Windows 10 Forums
   • Notice that although the tutorial is written for Windows 10, it also applies to Windows 7

Try the above, post back how it went.

 

When trying to access remote desktop it asks for credentials ???

I have setup a new computer in my network.

ALL other comcuters in the network CAN access each others remote desktop WITHOUT asking for credentials.

What do I mis at the new computer to access WITHOUT it asking for credentials ?

 

Remote Desktop Connection is not asking for login credentials

Hi Microsoft Techs and Experts,

After upgrading to Windows 10 (From Windows 8.1) I am facing some serious issues. Of course I am always browsing the forum for related posts but like in this case I couldn't find something similar.

I use the "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client" to connect to the company's VPN network.

The VPN connection is established properly.

However when I try to establish the Remote Desktop connection it isn't asking me for the login credentials anymore.



When I hit the "Connect" button I'm always being stuck at following screen.



Is says I have to enter my credentials, but for any reason no fields to insert are shown.

Any help on this matter would highly be appreciated.
