Windows 10: How to connect Xiaomi Redmi or some other smartphones to Windows 10 N-Version

Hi, lately I had the problem that I couldn't connect my smartphone to Windows 10 N-Version.When I tried to connect my Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 with Windows, in the device manager it either shows an unknown device or an MTP USB Device with a yellow exclamation mark. Actually, it took me a while to find out thatit had to do with the N-Versionit had in my case to do with the fact that Xiaomi apparently didn't sign their driversthe same problem occurs with a lot of other telephony and multimedia devices.I found a lot of guidelines about how to install an unsigned driver, some of them proposing t

Hello,

I m looking for good smartphone for my wife within 10,000-20,000/- INR (200-300 USD)

Suggest me good smartphone (android)

I was thinking of 1. Xiaomi Mi4i , 2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 3. Vivo V5 (newly launched-moonlight selfie camera)

I know Xiaomi Mi4I is older than redmi note 3 and less features, but i kept in option as it is even within 10,000/- and good features, but havent seen, so if anyone have seen and used, provide ur review for Mi4I too, i have seen redmi note 3, it is very good..

Any other suggestions? which one do you recommend among these? And specially hows Vivo V5?

Redmi Note 4 issues with USB connection to Windows 10

I bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, connected to the PC following all the recommended instructions, it worked(temporarily). I transferred some files etc.

Then after I disconnected, didn't worked anymore.

I passed hours trying to make it connect to the PC again but the device connection notification didn't showed up and I was only able to see the device charging.

Then I found a temporarily answer, I had to delete the Redmi Note 4 register from the Device Manager list and then reinitialize the system.

After that, I was able to transfer files again, but when I disconnected, the problem went back, after that I did the same steps and it worked again.

The point is, I don't want to keep doing that in order to connect my cellphone to PC because it takes time and it is unefficient. Microsoft, this is some kind of bug/incompatibility of Windows 10, I bet you guys are able to solve it simply, maybe via a little
update.

Can anybody there help with this? Maybe a support worker, developer or advanced user.

ps.: I downloaded all required official drivers from Xiaomi and Qualcomm(adb 1.4.3/Qualcomm USB Driver v1.0), also turned on USB Debugging on my phone(which is required to transfer files from this phone), so its not a software issue from the part of my phone.

ps 2.: My PC uses Windows 10 PRO 64 bits version

 

To transfer contacts and other details from Lumia 540 phone to Xiaomi Redmi Note

I am using Microsoft Windows Lumia 540 and enjoying with it. But few days agao I bought Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 but I do not know how to transfer peoples contacts and other details from old phone to new phone. Can you advice ?
