  1. How to copy complete path/filename to clipboard?

In explorer if i navigate to a file and press F2 / copy that will only copy the filename "da.txt" to clipboard... i want this: "c:\files\blah\dee\da.txt"

I see it's in the file Properties/Security/Object Name... it can be selected and copied. Is there a faster way?

    Thanks!

  2. Filename too long to copy

    Hi John,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can understand how frustrating it could be when things go unusual. I will certainly help you.

We suggest you to refer the below steps and check it works:

    • If you are needing to simply migrate a lot of folders from one place to another is to map a drive to the drilled own folder. Browse to the hidden share path and copy it to your clipboard.
    • Click on Map Network Drive in My PC It would appear under the tools menu.
    • Then simply paste your long path and hit Finish.
    • Now you will be able to copy the files/folders into this location without receiving that error.

  4. How to copy complete path/filename to clipboard?

Does hibernate save windows clipboard copy file ?

The clipboard is NOT a file. It holds its data in memory.

The clipboard data does survive a hibernation.

You could easily answer the question yourself like so:

    1. Press PrtSc
    2. Hibernate
    3. Return from hibernation
    4. Open Word
    5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the clipboard's contents.
