    How to correct a transparent bridge issue that appears as "PCI to PCI Bridge" with code 10?


    I have a PMC data acquisition card installed on a PCIe to PMC adapter plugged into a thunderbolt chassis. This configuration works fine with a PC but, when I connect it to a laptop, I receive "This device cannot start code 10".The issue appears to be related to the bridge deviceIDT TSI384 located on the PCIe to PMC adapter.On the PC, the bridge appears correctly under "System Devices" as "PCI Express to PCI-X Bridge".On the Laptop, the bridge appears under "System Devices" as "PCI to PCI Bridge" with code 10.I have been using this bridge device for years without any driver related issues

    PCI-to-PCI Bridge will not allow my PC to sleep longer than 10 seconds, and will turn PC on from shutdown.

    Bios is updated and the chipset is current but the sleep issue with the PCI-to-PCI bridge continues to happen.

    We are volunteers willing to help you try to resolve this issue.

    PCI bridges allow the system to support added PCI devices and are important to the system. They are the purview of the System/Motherboard Maker so check with their support, online docs and drivers, and in their forum.

    The PCI-to-PCI bridge drivers are usually included in the chipset drivers.

    Check for updates and install the latest versions. Also, update the BIOS. And check in the BIOS settings.

    How to correct a transparent bridge issue that appears as "PCI to PCI Bridge" with code 10?

    PCI-to-PCI Bridge will not allow my PC to sleep longer than 10 seconds, and will turn PC on from shutdown.

    I've been dealing with this since I swapped parts over to a new case. Whatever driver PCI-to-PCI bridge is keeps waking my PC for the past 2-3 weeks unless I turn my PSU off completely. I dont have a PCI-to-PCI bridge in my device manager like other people
    with this problem have showed me. Are there any driver updates for this or am I just cursed to have this huge annoyance in my computer?
