Windows 10: How to create a desktop shortcut for a program that is pinned to the Task Bar

I don't know the name of a program that is pinned to the Task Bar so that I can create a desktop shortcut. The program was pinned to the Task Bar by an HP printer technician during troubleshooting a prrinter issue. Why? I want to be certain that I can locate the program if somehow is doesn't show up in the Task Bar.TIA for your help.SweetTasha

If we pinned a program to a task bar,It will run on ram with the startup=?

Is it causes to Ram?

or it is like a shortcut in the desktop?

In pinning an app in taskbar and creating a desktop shortcut, follow the steps below.

A. How to pin apps to taskbar in Windows 10.

• Type Maps in Cortana Search.
• Right-click on it and choose Pin to Taskbar.

B. How to create desktop shortcut in Windows 10.

• Right-click an open area on the Desktop.
• Hover your mouse on New and click Shortcut.
• Click Browse.
• Click the program or file you want to create a shortcut.
• Choose Open and hit Next. You have the option to change the name for the shortcut.
  
• Click Finish button if it appears at the bottom of the dialog box.
• Click Next button if it appears at the bottom of the dialog box.
• Click the icon you want to use for the shortcut, and then click Finish.

Unable to view installed programs when i click on the windows icon or type in program name in search box on task bar

I am unable to view installed programs in the program list. When i click on the windows icon or type in program name in search box on task bar, the program doesn't show up. For example, I installed visual studio, launched it, closed it and searched for
it in using the above steps. Did not show up. I had to re-install it! As a workaround, I either pin these programs to my task bar or create a desktop shortcut during installation. I use Windows 10 Enterprise edition, Surface book, purchased in August 2016
