Windows 10: How to create a new folder, the Windows 7 way

I upgraded to Win10 eight weeks ago, then went to Norway. I've just got back, and now I've been using Win10 for less than an hour. I've had CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION, and Chrome hangs whenever I hit "Submit" here. So I'm keeping this short:
What's the Win10 equivalent of navigating to a folder, right clicking the folder icon then selecting "New Folder". Win 10 isn't giving me the "New Folder" option.

I have tried to follow your instructions to create a sub folder for Win X mail without success. Your instruction say that the + next to "Folder" must be activated. I have tried everything but cannot find the + sign next to "folder".

Please advise

• At the left side, under the list of folders, click "More" (at the bottom of the list)

• Click the + plus sign at the very extreme top of the fly-out menu that appears.

If there isn't a + symbol there (as shown in the example picture below), it means your email service provider won't work with that button. But that's okay: you can just go to your email website and create a folder there, and the Mail app will see it and
show it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll make a note of them and apply the .reg fix when I'm comfortable with Windows 10. I've had a few unsettling experiences in my first few hours of Win10 use, so I'm avoiding registry changes right now.

I once made a registry change that had a side effect of blocking sounds created by my applications. Because my programs rarely beep, I didn't discover the problem until a few months later... all my old restore points were long gone. It took me over a year to research the problem and find the solution.
Unfortunately, it took me less than a month to forget all about this, and to apply the registry update again...
The second time around, it took another year to find the fix, and I vowed to be wary of registry fixes in future!
