Windows 10: How to create smooth transitions between video clips in MS Video Editor

I am creating a montage of clips for a corporate move loop for a trade show. I'm trying to add smooth translations between each clip. Just simple fade in/outs between each clip. How I do it?Here is my current storyboard:Also, when I finally finish the video, how do I make sure it saves with no sound, and what is the best file size and format to use a repeating loop for a trade show? The screen is a bit bigger than usual. but it's a theatre size screen that you see behind keynote speeches at major events. How do I add transitions to video clips in Video Editor

I'm Jericho, a fellow customer and an individual advisor. I am happy to assist you!

You can play around with pans and zooms on the single photos using the video editor but apologies as there is no way to apply transitions from one photo or video to the next. This feature is not available in this application.

I suggest that you use other video editors that has features for transitions. Such as Vegas Pro and Adobe premiere. You can find 3rd party video applications in google.

How do I add transitions to video clips in Video Editor

Based on my personal experience, the Video Editor in Windows 10 don't have a transition function.

I didn't read any documentation about it and there's no grantee that it is impossible be done, but it's true that the Video Editor has a very limited function and if you need advanced video editor, you should turn to a third party software like Adobe Premiere
Pro, Shotcut, Blender, etc.

 

Windows Video Editor: Choppy Playback

Hello, my question is about the new Video Editor function from the Photos App. When I open video clips in the Photo App, they run smooth. However, when I move them to the Video Editor(for video editing), the playback is super choppy. How can I fix this
issue?

My laptop specs:

• XPS 13 9350 Signature Edition
• Processor: i7-6560U CPU @2.20GHz 2.21GHz
• Installed Ram(usable): 15.9GB
• System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processror
