IN theory yes but not in practical terms no. If you have a complex enough password and it would take years or decades to crack then I would take that to be not crackable.

There are other factors in play:

• Social engineering
• Passwords store in text forms on unsecure computers
• Passwords written down
• Passwords stored on "secure" computers that are hacked

This makes any password of any length crackable unless it is made secure. Length and complexity are not enough.

We have several criteria for creating a strong password. Strong passwords help prevent unauthorized people from accessing files, programs, and other resources, and should be difficult to guess or crack. A good password:

• Is at least eight characters’ long
• Doesn’t contain your user name, real name, or company name
• Doesn’t contain a complete word
• Is significantly different from previous passwords
• Contains uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols

But it gives its answer as you type.
How is it able to make all those checks in no time at all?
How can it take milliseconds to decide that p.a.s.s.w.o.r.d. would take 547 million trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion years to crack?
