Windows 10: How to customize battery alerts?

I recently needed to replace my laptop battery and read that in order to best maintain my battery life, I should not fully charge my battery to 100%. How do I customize my battery alerts so that I get a notification when my un-plugged battery drops to 40% and also an alert to tell me when my battery charges up to 80% and to unplug it?

Unfortunately custom alerts are still not supported even after the Mango update. I guess now we'll have to specifically request custom alerts in the new

Windows Phone Feature Suggestion Box.

 

Emergency Alerts

Hi Stephanie,

Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

• Open Settings.
• Tap on System.
• Tap on Messaging.
• Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
• Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.

 

Custom alerts for certain e-mails

I suppose my temporary solution will be to set up a separate e-mail account for those alerts to go to and only check that account using the mobile device, then set up all e-mails to use a loud alert sound. This severely limits the functionality of the device
for me since I won't be able to view normal e-mails but I need the alerts to be audible. I have noticed other unfortunate limitations as well. These seem like such simple things, like having the ability to have the task list sync with a public folder rather
than ones personal task list.
