Windows 10: How to decrease windows 10 password lenght

Hi

My password used to be 8 digits long, then I had to choose a new password and I made it 10 digits long


I then regretted this decision and wanted to make it 8 digits long again, but now Windows tell me that I cannot comprimise/lower the complexity/security by decreasing the lenght of the password


Has anyone experience with this how to get back from 10 to 8 digits in a Windows 10 password?
