Windows 10: How to defrag system disk "D" in windows 7

My system disk that contains windows 7 is 36% fragmented. When I try to defrag it wont. If I tell other drives to defrag they will defrag. I understand you cant defrag the drive a windows in on. This laptop is so slow I blame it on the 36% what can I do to get some of my speed back by defraging????

Disk D Defragment

I am having a problem with my Disk D. I analyze the disk, which don't work and then try to defrag the disk, but it only shows 2 % and that is it, can't defrag it. What do I need to do to defrag. Disk C is ok.

hard disk D won't defragment

I ran the system file checker as suggested and the reply was:

"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

However what it scanned is 'c:\windows\system 32>>

But it is the hard disk D that won't defrag. What do I do now?
