Windows 10: How to delete alias from MFA?

When I initially established my Microsoft account many years ago, I used my then-current email address. I have since migrated to a different email address; and although I still have access to the old address, I don't use it -- and I don't expect to retain that access for much longer.Several months ago, I updated my Microsoft account with my new email address and made that my primary alias. I also deleted the old email address from the list of aliases.Nonetheless, when the Microsoft account login process prompts me for MFA, it still offers to send a code to the old email address.I've looked

Alias does not reflect under the Mail app on Windows 10.

As per the description, I understand that the Mail app crashes and you are unable to see the alias on the Mail app.

I appreciate if you could answer to a few questions to narrow down to the issue.

• Did you receive any error message?
• Are you able to see the Alias in outlook.com?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to check if the alias gets reflected on Outlook.com, just to make sure that whether the account issues is related within the Mail app.

If the Alias reflects under Outlook.com, I suggest you to run the app troubleshooter and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

I would like to change my windows live account which was a vz email acct that now has an outlook.com alias and start over with only a windows live login/ no alias.
