Windows 10: How to delete all the mail storage

My laptop says mail is taking up 11GB.I have removed all email accounts and I removed any mail apps. When I click on "manage mail" it just asks me to get another mail app.I cannot figure out how to free up the 11GB.

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

Deleting contacts from Windows 10


When you say Windows Mail Live are you referring to Mail app or Windows Live Mail?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open Windows Live Mail.
• Press Ctrl + 3 using your keyboard. Right-click on the contact to delete it if it is a single contact.
• Highlight all contacts by pressing Ctrl + A.
• Click Delete located on the Ribbon bar.
• Click OK when you see the message These contacts will also be deleted from Hotmail, Messenger, and other Windows Live services.

After following the steps above, all your contacts that you have manually added to your account will be deleted however, contacts coming from third-party sites such as Facebook will not be deleted unless you remove Facebook from your account.

For Mail app:

Open People app then delete the contact.

Mail Storage

I TRIED BELOW IT DOESNT WORK. Somehow the data is a quiz no one can figure out this is insane whats going on why is this complicated when it should be as easy as 123? The steps below dont work nothing works!!!!!

- Press on Windows + R then type "appdata", then press enter
- go to AppData\Local\Comms\Unistore\data.
- inside the data folder, right-click and select properties and verify if that is the folder that contains the huge size mail data
this is the location of mail app, so if this is where the massive size on mail, manually delete it by pressing on Ctrl + A then Shift + Delete to permanently delete everything inside that folder

or you may try this also

1. Open Settings

2. Click System

3. Click Storage & Click the relevant drive (typically C

4. Click "apps & games"

5. In the list of apps scroll down to Mail and Calendar and click it.

6. "Advanced options" appears. Click that.

7. A "Reset" button appears. Click that. A tick appears when done.
