    recovery of dcim folder on ms surface

    My dcim card was deleted from my computer for some reason and I have been unable to recover it. I am unable to download photos from my Samsung phone. I have looked at previous posts but the information has not helped. Any other suggestions?

    It seems you are dealing with numerous separate problems:

    • The virus infection
    • Restore points that do not work
    • An automatic update that may be only half completed
    • The deleted registry key
    • Maybe some deleted folders. From the subject of your post it is unclear if "Deleted profile list and subfolder" means "subkey" or "subfolder" on the hard disk.
    Can you reboot the machine in Safe Mode? You can see the option after you have interrupted the boot-up process three times.
