Windows 10: How to delete imported .ICS calendar in my Windows Desktop calendar Not Outlook.

Hello,I have imported .ICS calendar to my Windows Desktop Calendar app. By Mistake I added it twice, so I want to delete duplicate events. And want to learn how to delete .ICS calendar which I have inserted.I have tried removing my Gmail account connected to this application, but after adding the account back. These files/ events again come up.This is not an Outlook calendar, it's a Windows Desktop Calendar.

How to import Outlook 2016 calendar to Windows Mail app.

I see you used the word import, is it import or sync that you are after.

If it was a one time import you could "export / save as" your calendar and assuming your actual mail service supported calendar you could import the ics file. There is an app (I haven't used) Calendar Restore that would allow you to import ics file In Windows Calendar according to their documentation.

I'm not using the Windows 10 mail app but I wanted my calendar and contacts to sync from Outlook 2013 to my phone which has a calendar and contact app. In big round steps, I opened an outlook.com account, saved my Outlook 2013 calendar and imported into my new outlook.com account. I also exported by contacts and imported them. Then I added my new outlook.com account to Outlook 2013 and set the Outlook.com as the default "Data" account. Now if I change a contact or a calendar entry in Outlook 2013 it syncs with the outlook.com account which syncs with the necessary apps on my phone.

Depending on your mail domain there could be third party apps to sync Outlook 20xx to your mail account which in turn would sync to the Windows 10 apps. CompanionLink comes to mind. My wife was using but eventually we converted to my method.


Could I ask what domain supplies your mail?

Calendar deleted in Outlook/Exchange is not updated in WP calendar setting

Import an ics file into desktop outlook that syncs with an exchange account.

Ensure Windows Phone syncs with the exchange account.

See that the calendar generated by the ICS is available and displayed in WP.

Now delete the calendar from desktop outlook/exchange account. Verify that all calendar entries are removed and the calendar is not displayed in any form either in outlook or in the web mail (if available).

Now go back to WP and see that although calendar entries for the deleted calendar is removed, the calendar itself is available in the calendar settings.

Even after removing and re-adding the exchange account, the calendar persists in the settings.

 

Troubles with Outlook.com Calendar

In seeking support for my issues, I tried contacting MS support via a Chat session.
They did have a workaround for the Calendar deletion issue when an earlier Calendar with that name has been deleted - if you rename the problem Calendar first, you can then delete it.

As for my main issue of the .ICS import, they didn't have a solution and the best option the person on the Chat session had was to report it on the UserVoice website, which I didn't know existed.
