  1. How to delete old synced data instances from same device?

Hello, I've seen this question posted elsewhere, as in here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-i-wipe-this-backups-select-a-device-to-restore/3e3235f9-5fe5-41fe-854d-b20fcc65b8bbThe trouble is that the response given at that other link gave instructions on how to remove the DEVICE. I'm only looking to remove the multitude of saved instances of previously synced data stored at Microsoft for any device in question, NOT the entire device itself. So far as I can tell, https://account.microsoft.com/devices only provides to delete the device entirely.

    :)

  2. Windows 10: Delete synced and favorites data

    Hi,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

We understand that you want to delete irrelevant data stored in the Computer.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Method 1: Disk Cleanup.

    • Open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Disk Cleanup, and then, in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.
    • If you're prompted to choose a drive, click the drive you just installed Windows on, and then click OK.
    • In the Disk Cleanup dialog box, on the Disk Cleanup tab, click Clean up system files.
    • If you're again prompted to choose a drive, click the drive you just installed Windows on, and then click OK.
    • Select the Previous Windows installation(s) check box, and any other check boxes for the files you want to delete, and then click OK.
    Method 2: Clear Favorites data.

    • Click Start
    • Click Computer
    • In the address bar, paste this location: %userprofile%
    • Press Enter on your keyboard
    • Make sure you have a Favorites folder listed in the
      %userprofile%
      folder
    • Right click on the folder, select open and you can delete the data listed under the folder.
Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.

Can't get rid of old device tab syncing in Internet Explorer

It keeps showing up in my IE11 Frequent tab at the bottom, no matter what I do. I deleted it from my device list in my Microsoft account page. I also turned off sync on all my other devices and followed the steps here:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...r-remove/47c80b9f-a46b-48e8-a057-e316bf4db09a

and waited till the following morning to reenable sync on all of them. Is there something else I can try to get rid of it?

How to delete old synced data instances from same device?

Why isn’t Edge deleting browsing sync data?

I’m trying to delete browsing sync data in Edge from Microsoft, so I go to edge://settings/profiles/sync and click Reset Sync at the bottom. (all this as per article
Reset Microsoft Edge data | Microsoft Docs).

..it doesn’t work, I can still see my history and searches in
https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/activity-history as shown on these screenshots.

    I made sure to:
    - Turn off sync on other syncing devices
    - Enable reset sync at edge://flags

I wonder why this isn’t working?

    Any help much welcome *Smile
