Windows 10: How to deregister Windows 10 keys from a deleted VMWare Workstation instance

HiI installed Window 10 Pro with my license key in a VMWare Workstation machine.There was some issue with the Workstation so I ended deleting my the virtual machine, however, when I installed new Virtual machine Virtual box this time and tried to use the same license, it says that my license key is already used.I can see the VMware Virtual machine on Microsoft Account still. How do I de-register it from my MS account and reclaim the license?I can see the option to Unlink the Virtual machine, but I think it simply unlink from my account and the license would still be tied with the deleted V

VMWare Workstation 12 is out now, which fully supports Windows 10. I suggest upgrading to 12.

 

how to uninstall vmware workstation 7.0 in windows 10 ?

I am not able to find vmware workstation in control panel add/remove programs list in my windows 10, HP pavilion laptop. Kindly help me to uninstall by using any other alternative.

As per discussions in earlier threads below was one of the solutions

You say ‘delete’ a program. It’s possible that it hasn’t been installed, i.e. it is a standalone program. If it has been installed, it’s uninstall information is stored in a registry key.

Click the Windows Orb (Start), type regedit, press Enter and in the left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion.

Expand the Uninstall key in the left pane and scroll down to find the program entry then right-click and delete it. To make sure you have the correct entry, check the name in the right pane. DisplayName contains the name that is (normally) listed in Programs
and Features and UninstallString contains the name of the program that is used to do the uninstall.

If your program doesn’t have a registry entry, it has not been installed and the .exe can be deleted. It's unlikely but I suppose it could have been partially uninstalled.

As per above, I searched in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion and did not find there.

But I was able to find VMWare in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE.

Kindly help me resolve this issue ASAP

 

Upgrade to Windows 10 asking to uninstlal VMware Workstation

II have been using VMware since the arrival of Windows 7 and I need it for my research. Windows 10 update cannot complete installation and tells me to delete Vmare but I cannot. Updates should not cause problems with existing well known systems!

What can I do?
