Hi Everyone,I had this question for a long time and I searched to get an answer but, I only found ways to enable administrator elevation. But, a few days ago, I received a notification from Power Toys V0.82.0 installed just recentlyPower Toys notification: "When running any application as an administrator, Power Toys may not work correctly when the elevated applications are in focus or trying to interact with a Power Toys feature like Fancy Zones. This can be addressed by also running Power Toys as administrator." Since I saw that notification, I'm kind of concerned about the way I'm using m

How to always allow administrator permissions for a specific application

Windows 10 gives users the ability to customize how they run applications. We suggest that you follow the steps below on how to grant administrator permission to a specific application:

• Click the Windows icon on your Windows 10 screen that will open the list of applications. Right click on the specific application that you wish to have an admin permission, click the
  More and click Open file location.
• A new window will open to the location of the program. Right-click on the program and click
  Properties from the pop-up menu.
• In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab and then click
  Advanced.
• In the Advanced Properties window, check the box next to
  Run as administrator and click OK.
  
• The program will now open in administrator mode when you click the shortcut from the Start menu. Repeat the steps above for other desired applications.

Unable to Run Certain Applications Without Running as Administrator [Windows 10 x64bit]

To always run applications as administrator I would suggest following the below instructions followed by a URL that you may refer to for more information.

Step 1: Open the Start menu and click All apps. Find the program you want to always run in administrator mode and right-click on the shortcut. In the pop-up menu, click Open file location. Only desktop programs (not native Windows 10 apps) will have this option.

Step 2: A File Explorer window will open to the location of the program you want to access. Right-click on the program and click Properties from the pop-up menu.

Step 3: In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab and then click Advanced...

Step 4: In the Advanced Properties window, check the box next to Run as administrator and click OK.

Step 5: The program will now open in administrator mode when you click the shortcut from the Start menu. You'll need to repeat these steps for each program you want to have this feature.

How to run as administrator permanently?

My PC only has 1 account, does it mean I am automatic administrator? In Control Panel>User Accounts I see I am Administrator. There is a text Administrator under my user name. If my user account is administrator, do I still need to do those "run as administrator" step?
