Windows 10: How to Disable AMD Radeon Graphics Driver Updates through Windows Update Without disabling...

I am using an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. It works fine when I am running an older version of the driver. I was annoyed that Windows Update always automatically update my GPU driver after I have downgraded, and I want to stop Windows Update from updating my GPU driver because it breaks things. I have checked several methods to disable driver updates but that will also disable updates for my other drivers. How do I only disable the updates for this single device?Answers will be appreciated.

Do you have any other graphics card installed?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Try to place the system in Safe Mode and check if it works fine.

1. Restart your PC. When you reach the sign-in screen, hold the Shift key and select the Power button, and then select Restart.

2. After your PC restarts, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options >Startup settings > Restart. After your PC restarts, you should see a number of options. Press 5 or
F5 for Safe Mode with networking.

Try to update your Display Driver.

To update your display driver, you'll need to uninstall your current display adapter, and then check for driver updates.

• Right-click the Start button. Click on Device Manager.
• Expand the Display adapters section, right-click the listed adapter, then select Uninstall. Select the Delete the driver software for this device check box, then select OK and restart your PC.
  
• After your PC restarts, press the Windows logo key.
• From Settings, select Update & security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  

Note:

If you have multiple display adapters, you'll need to disable the added adapter (often an Intel HD 400 or AMD Radeon HD 4200) by right-clicking it from the list in Device Manager and selecting Disable > Yes. Then, turn off your
PC, and turn your PC back on. If that doesn't fix the issue, restart your PC in safe mode, re-enable the added display adapter, and then disable the other adapter.

Hi,

I have MacBook Pro with bootcamp. My computer has broken AMD Radeon HD 6750M card. Driver for this card is disabled.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update during update is enabling disabled driver for AMD Radeon HD 6750M card. Finally my computer hangs , and after restart windows is restored to previous version.

Is there any option to force Windows 10 Fall Creators Update not to enable driver for my broken AMD Radeon HD 6750M card?

Windows 10 quarterly update disables OpenCL of graphics driver

Windows 10 quarterly update disables OpenCL. When AMD/Nvidia graphics driver was installed with OpenCL enabled and Windows 10 quarterly update is installed then OpenCL gets disabled. You need to download graphics driver manually again from amd.com or nvidia.com
and install manually to get OpenCL back. Why Microsoft disables OpenCL on Windows 10 quarterly update?
