How to disable Audio Settings Changing when plugging in a new Decive

Good Evening,How do I get Windows to not try and asign something as new audio device as soon as it is plugged in? Or for that matter how to prevent Windows from changing Audio Settings to an HDMI/USB for any sake. It may be a PnP Feature that is used frequently, but there has to be an Option to just turn it off.

    :)

  2. Instructions to change board?

Boot off of the windows CD, repair your XP partition (hopefully you won't have to reinstall windows), install drivers, and you're good to go. You'll see dual channel mode in the BIOS splash screen results from POST. It'll be pretty obvious *Stick Out Tongue How to disable Audio Settings Changing when plugging in a new Decive :p. Here's a list of general tweaks for the 939Dual-SATA2.
    Step one- Set time, date
Step two- In CPU settings, disable cool n quiet, set memory clock to DDR400, play with memory timings (CAS-TRAS-TRP-TRCD), which are listed in the bios in the order CAS, TRCD, TRAS, and TRP. EDIT- new BIOS's mess around with this order, can't be too sure on it, but yeah at least you know what the RAM timings stand for *Big Grin How to disable Audio Settings Changing when plugging in a new Decive :D.
Leave MA timing at 2T unless you think your system can handle 1T
Step three- in Chipset settings, enable onboard LAN, disable onboard Audio, disable AGP fast write, set primary graphics adapter, and set CPU-NB and NB-SB link speed to 1000mhz.
Step four- in IDE, disable controllers you aren't using. On all drives detected, enable SMART if you can and set PIO/DMA as high as they will go.
Step five- Enable legacy USB support
Step six- Set password if you're worried about anyone screwing around with your BIOS settings
Step seven- Configure your boot sequence. I reccomend hard drive first, optical drive second, and floppy drive third.
Step eight- Save changes, boot into XP, and enjoy your computer.

Rear audio ports always show as “Not plugged in”

I've been having this issue with Windows for about a week now which NONE of the back panel/front panel connectors (speakers, microphone) are being recognized by Realtek audio manager. The only audio input/outputs that are showing are the optical.
Troubling shooting steps I've tried (none worked):

    • COMPLETELY uninstall all Realtek drivers/reinstall
    • Tried using windows drivers
    • Reinstall Windows 10
    • Upgraded chipset driver
    • sfc /scannow
I called EVGA and asked for RMA but then I booted into a Ubuntu OS and all the ports work FINE. It must be a problem with windows 10.
Can you think of any other troubling shooting step I can try to fix this annoying issue? Thanks!

After looking in Device Manager under Audio inputs and outputs, I don't see any speaker/microphone listings, only the optical crap:

audio too bass when plug in a earphone (Windows 10)

    Hi,

To better assist you with your concern, we just have few questions for you:

    • Were there any recent changes that happen on your device when an audio jack is plugged in?
    • Can you post a screenshot of your audio settings when an audio jack is plugged in.

    Regards.
