Windows 10: How to disable Capslock screen notification on Windows 11

I have a Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11. Earlier the capslock notification was a visual nuisance. So if I am typing something, in the same space, the notification would appear and wouldn't go. So I couldn't see what I am typing. And it takes a good 5 seconds to go.Now it has become a bigger nuisance. I think it is after the latest windows update. Now it takes the focus away from the application I am typing in to the notification. So now the notification has become a modal window.I can't find the setting from where I can disable this notification. Someone please help.

Turn off Capslock Notification

A capslock notification comes up on my screen any time I turn caps on/off. I tried

methods 3 and 4 from this list for turning it off and none seem to be working.

I went to advanced display setting, but there's no "On-Screen Display" tab, so I can't change anything that way. I tried the registry editor, but can't go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BTConfig\General because there's no "Widcomm" in "SOFTWARE".
I also tried a bunch of settings in the Ease of Access center but none of them effect it either.

It's not just capslock, eg. turning on the mic also does it, but the capslock is the only really annoying one.

Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions please :

1. How do I get the on-screen CapsLock and NumLock notifications to work again ?
Background :
When I first had my laptop in 2018

• an on-screen icon would pop up when I turned on/ off CapsLock. This was part of normal Windows 10
• same thing happened with NumLock.
• then there was some Windows Update, and they disappeared

2. How do I get my CapsLock button to work again ?
Background

• While following a thread on some website about trying to get my on-screen CapsLock/ NumLock to work again, I did something I shouldn't and now my CapsLock button doesn't work.
• I am not a techie. As I disabled my CapsLock button accidentally I feel like an idiot.

Disabling capslock on keyboard

I got fed up with the various options to do this, so I did it the simple way - I just removed the capslock key from my keyboard. *Wink. Works fine!!
