Windows 10: How to Disable Ctrl+Shift Shortcut for Switching Keyboards in Windows 11?

I use two keyboard layouts under the same language English US: US QWERTY and Programmers Dvorak. Although I've disabled the option to switch between languages using the "Advanced Key Settings" tab and set the language switch key bind to "unbound," pressing Ctrl+Shift still switches between these keyboard layouts.I would like to keep the Meta+Space shortcut for switching layouts but need to disable Ctrl+Shift from performing this action. The issue is particularly problematic when using WSL and performing actions like copying text Ctrl+Shift+C, as it causes unintended layout switches.How w

• Have you assigned the “Ctrl + Shift” shortcut for any application?
  

Ideally, the shortcut Ctrl + Shift is used to switch the keyboard layout when multiple keyboard layouts are available. If you have assigned the shortcut for a keyboard layout, you may try changing it by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Devices and select
   Typing on the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and select Advanced keyboard settings.
   
4. Click on Input language hot keys.
   
5. Select the layout for which you have assigned the shortcut and click on
   Change Key Sequence.
   
6. Under Switch Keyboard Layout, select
   Not assigned.
   
7. Click on OK (Twice).

I understand your frustration with the keyboard language switching in Windows 11.

There is no built-in setting in Windows 11 to disable the Shift + Space shortcut for switching between keyboard languages. However, you can use a tool called PowerToys to disable keyboard shortcuts in Windows 11.

Removing windows Control-shift shortcut

Hello,

I use Mathematica A LOT, and almost all the shortcuts involve a Ctrl + Shift combination. However, the windows shortcut to switch your keyboard layout is Ctrl + Shift, and I use multiple layouts but do not often switch between them (and cannot remove them for some reason). This has caused considerable frustration. Is there a way to disable the Windows Ctrl + Shift shortcut?
