Windows 10: how to disable Encrypting file system needs your smart card PIN

somehow i have enable smart card PIN in encrypting file system please help me to fix it, i was trying to lock a text file with password following by a youtube video and i thing something wrong happens in that time ,then after restarting my pc i am not able to create new folder on desktop and it says destination access folder denied and a pop up notification says Encrypting file system needs your smart card PIN but when i'm going to put the password it was not working.

Office smart card reader not prompting for PIN

Hi,

I use a smart card reader along with a smart card provided by my employer. It had been working fine but all of a sudden it stopped working a few days back. Now when I try to login, I do not receive a prompt to input the PIN. Thus the page with the VM launcher
does not open up. I have reinstalled all the drivers. Still the system does not prompt for PIN. The card reader and card is working on other systems. Kindly suggest some solution.

Is there Bitlocker encryption turned on?

Please try the below suggested steps and let us know if it helps.

1. Right click on
   Start menu and select Run.
   
2. Typegpedit.msc
   and press Enter.
   
3. Navigate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\SecurityOptions.
   
4. LocateInteractive logon: Require smart card
   policy setting.
   
5. Double click on the Policy and select
   Disabled option.
   
6. Click onApply
   and OK to save changes.
   
7. Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not,
   restart the system.
