Windows 10: how to disable exclusive control and is it the same process for widows all10 versions,...

I have several windows PCs 2 have new installs latest versions 21H1. One 10 home one 10 home . My audio settings keep being disabled changing my in and outputs I have seen reference to exclusive control but on the windows home version I cant find it anywhere.If I do find it is there anything else that can be causing the issue. A Microsoft tech had me update the new installations and garuanteed that would fix my issue but its worse. My computers are exclusively used for music production and Im about to go postal trying to fix this

Unable to add exclusion in Windows Security

Hello Paul.

Windows Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.836)

Controlled Folder Access is off.

Following your suggestion, Windows Security allowed me to add the folder as an exclusion, and I was then able to also add the file in question as an exclusion.

However, despite the file being listed under "Exclusions" it is still being deleted every time I copy it to the program's directory without any warnings or messages.
