Windows 10: How to disable FIPS on Windows 10 Home

I accidentally activated FIPS on one of my home networks, part of a linksys router and I need help disabling it. The registry says FIPS isn't enabled.

The registry value reflects the FIPS settings set accordingly on the computer. If the settings is enabled, the value is
1, if disabled, 0.



The registry settings set for FIPS as per the screenshot attached in the above post is correct according to the requirement you were looking for.

• How did you enable FIPS?
• Did you enable FIPS from the router page?

Please let us know if you have followed the steps mention by Jitendra Kushwaha in the TechNet link which you have sent.

I request you to follow the steps and disable the FIPS and try to connect to the network after restarting the device.

Original Title: Disable FIPS in win 10

I mistakenly activated FIPS on a wireless connection to a router--I have 3 connections ,#1 being the strongest. I rebooted and lost the connection and had no way to disable it until I read about going into registry and changing the value. I found where
it was located and according to the directions if the value was zero it was disabled. However, the description said it was enabled. I have a backup registry but have not used it. The other two are weak signals.
