  1. How to disable Microsoft Update from reactivating disabled applications & settings

How can users of Microsoft Office stop Windows Update from overriding disabled system settings? When I use Windows Update to ensure my device remains secure, Windows Update reactivates disabled Services in Task Manager and the disabled settings in Task Schedular.I want my disabled settings to remain the way I have set them and not have to spend the time going through assessing what settings a Windows Update has changed.

    :)

    settings must be disabled

If his CPU isn't under load it sounds like SpeedStep, which lowers you voltages and clock speed in various steps depending on the load. For example, my CPU will sit at 1.5Ghz idle (x12 multi), and will step up to various different frequencies. So unless your fully loading your machine or if you disable power saving features, the CPU clock is going to go down on its own. This isn't a bad thing, it saves power and reduces heat, but you might not be able to overclock as high if the machine becomes unstable in a low power state because of the different frequencies and voltages.

  3. Disable new search bar in Outlook 365

OK. There is a way to disable this new search box in Microsoft Office 365. For Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook 365.
    2. On the lower left-hand corner click options.
    3. In the User Interface options under the General Tab, click the checkbox Collapse the Microsoft Search box by default.
    4. Click OK.

The search box will now disappear. However, disabling this option would only work on that application. If you open Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, you will need to do these same steps to disable the search box (if present) as well. Let me know if this works for you.

    Disabling laptop keyboard

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

As per the description. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I suggest you follow the steps below and check if that helps:

    • Press Windows + X and select
      Device Manager
      from the list.
    • Find Keyboards in the list of devices and click the arrow to expand it.
    • Right-click on the internal keyboard and click Disable. If there is no Disable option listed, click
      Uninstall.
    • Click File>Exit. Your laptop’s internal keyboard should now be disabled.
Note: If you had to choose Uninstall instead of Disable in step 4, the keyboard will be automatically detected and re-installed if you ever have the Device Manager scan for new hardware for some reason. If that happens you’ll need to repeat this procedure
in order to uninstall it again.

Hope the information helps. Please let us know if the issue persist and we will be happy to assist you further.
