How to disable my ask for permission - family safety's feature and I lost the owner account

A few days ago I set up the family features for some reason and now it’s super annoying when I start a video game asking me permission from an adult and the account that was the “adult” I lost the password and email.

Microsoft Family Safety Ask for Permission Feature

So, to cut to the chase of my problem, Microsoft Family Safety features are a little wonky right now. I've been trying to open Paint 3D and other apps of the computer I am using. However, instead of displaying the "Ask for Permission" feature, it closes the app before it starts and doesn't allow me to ask for permission. This is a problem because it interferes with my schoolwork. Is this something that normally happens or can it be fixed without the whole MS Family to be reset?

Might want to make a category for this. Also, when I say doesn't show me the "Ask for Permission" feature, I mean the dialogue box doesn't open, it just closes the app and basically says that's it.

  3. Windows 10 Family safety - child can disable all feature, why?

    Hi,

There may be a sync issue with the restrictions that has been applied to the child account. To isolate your concern regarding Family Safety, we recommend that you follow these steps:

    • Remove the Child account on the Family Safety website.
    • Change the passwords of your account.
    • Add the Child account again.
    • Add the restrictions to the Child account again.

Keep us updated with the results if your child will still be able to turn off the Family Safety feature after performing the steps above.

Microsoft family features are asking permission to use Google Chrome

    Hi Joshua,

To assist you better, kindly provide us more details by answering the following questions:

    • Are you logged in as the administrator of the computer?
    • Is it happening on all the websites that you're trying to access using Google Chrome
    • Have you tried using different browsers? If yes, are you getting the same issue?
If you are using a child account, then probably the reason why you are having issues browsing the internet is that the parent account has set up restrictions on the websites that you can only visit. Regardless of the browser that you use every time you visit
a website which is/are restricted, you will be required to ask permission from the parent. Only the parent account can remove the Family safety.
